Alright guys this is Phil actually writing a post. Yesterday (after much frustration) me and baron paid our first deposit, which is non refundable ensuring that we actually are going to this race. this has prompted us to join various facebook groups and watching videos on youtube. we looked at each picture and video with an increasingly worried look on our faces. from the extreme bites and injuries on peoples legs to the man in tears declaring that he 'wasn't a quitter' as he crossed the finishing line i don't think the enormity of the event has or will be realised until we get there. Then there is the heat that we also connot possibly prepare adequatley for. from the sounds of this piece it sounds like that we are having a few reservations about this trip. This however could not be further from the truth, both me and Rick cant wait to go and start some serious training (around 70-100 miles p/w), and Rick is going to try and sort us out with some training (inside the studios at gym he works at) that will go someway to creating the humidity we will be enduring throughout this run.
